Rosewood Studio has ceased operations

>I just received an e-mail from Ted Brown, owner and program director, that the school is now closed.
For those not in the know, Rosewood Studio was a high-end WW school just outside Ottawa. Ted has studied under Krenov, and over the years many distinguished instructors gave classes there, like Yeung Chan, Craig Stevens, Michael Fortune, etc. Heck, Garrett Hack was there last week, we chatted at a BBQ that a friend organized last Saturday.
The school was very nice, beautiful surroundings, great instructors. The closing puts a major blow in the field of WW instruction in Ottawa, in Ontario, all of Canada in fact.
One can only speculate at this point, but my guess is that the rising Canadian dollar and new border controls made the school less attractive to potential US customers.
Now that the school is gone, I do regret having taken only one class there. Time and/or money always seemed to get in the way of taking more classes at the time, I should have taken more of them... Right now, in order to get equivalent instruction I would have to go to one of the US schools, with extra costs that I did not have to incur here (lodging, food, transportation, etc.)
This is a sad day... I wish Ted the best, the ride was too short but thanks for it while it lasted...
