Uh, No!

Due to slow strangulation from iron deposits, the old one had been working less and less efficiently for years. I've been tempted to sacrifice another hair brush to the one in the upstairs bathroom.

There was an older plumber I worked with for about a year who always called the main vent going out the roof a soil stack and it just stuck with me.

I ran the snake through it, tied a knot in the snake and pulled it back through. Out popped one of those Burger King toys, about as big as my fist. This thing had gotten wedged in there perfectly. The snake would go around it, but it only allowed about 1/3 of the flow that should pass through.

Just because you can get a snake through, doesn't mean that you have a clear passage.

Seriously - a snake at HD is not expensive. Everyone should have at least one!
