Number 4 in the plan-o-thon

>Happy to say I came in 4th at Bill's with a type 11 #3. Full length shaving with measurements ranging from .0006 to .0013. I normally scary sharp to about 1500 grit. I was having a terrible time getting consistently under .0011 in my practice time. Bob Tarr inntroduced me to Shapton stones and when I put it all back together it was like night and day. I made one shaving after finger touch set up, made one little adjustment and made another shaving. The second shaving was so much better looking than anything I'd done so far that I just quit with it and turned it in. If Grumbine ever posts his pics you'll see the #$*&-eating grin I'm wearing as I'm holding my Knight coffin smoother -- it is so coooool. Thanks to all who made this event possible. For those who were there, I'm half way home with a second breakdown on the 1 year old Mazda. Hard to imagine singing this brand's praises any time soon. Should have driven the 7 year old SAAB! Hopefully home tomorrow.
