I agree that most folks are pretty good at bisecting. But people are also generally really good at over-complicating or over-analyzing things. Maybe they bisect by hand, and one side is mildly bigger, and then the two tails that meet in the "middle" are a little off. Or maybe someone uses a ruler to do an "equal" division, instead of repeated bisections, and they get the math wrong somehow...
I'm not saying it's easy to get right, I'm just being difficult, and I felt like pointing out that it's easy to get wrong, too. It's friday, I'm punchy, tired, and I need to go sleep off a cold.
