>I see you have several good responses but figured I would throw this in also. I have one of those cheap hardwood benches that is sort of a miniature knock off of the higher end ones. It has two servicable vises, dog holes and the tool tray along the back. I am not sure if it came from HF, as I got it used, but they have one like it listed as does cybertooldepot. Biggest problems with it are weight and stability (not exactly rickety, but would move enough to throw you off occasionally). I solved both problems by closing it in with melamine finished 3/4" MDF on both sides and the back, screwed to the legs (I really should bolt it, but it hasn't moved a bit). It no longer has the slightest wiggle.
