>I finally got around to making a frame for this piece of artwork I was given for Father's day this year. It's made of quarter sawn white oak with a blo and wax finish.

>This is a close-up of the artwork. The medium is plaster. The piece was a colaboration between three artists, my wife Chris, and two as yet undiscovered prodigies, Katie (2 1/2 y.o.) and Ryan (1 y.o.). To me it's a masterpiece and I love it.

>Yeah, my wife said that gave her fits. You know how tempermental "artists" can be, especially young ones. Thanks for looking, John.

>That's great, John. Do you have anything planned to go in the lower space?

>No Steve, the lower rail is just decorative. I got the design from an Arts and Crafts project book. The frame is supposed to be a copy of a frame made by the Greene brothers. The lowest rail in the plans had three square cut outs on it but I left those out. They wouldn't have looked right in my scaled down version. John.
