>Last night I put the finishing touches on my toolchest project. It is sort of a broad amalgam of styles, but I wasn't going for a period piece really. Just extracting various design elements I like in other chests.

There are definitely some uglies in there which are not eveident in the images, and all really stem from lack of proper tools. Only one way to remedy that. :)

I still have to complete the tills for my boring tools, marking and measuring tools, and chisels.

You can see more details in the link below.

Thanks for looking.

>That's really nice Jamey. I especially like that it isn't as tall as so many others. They strike me as being difficult to get stuff outta the bottom. I know, I know. Many of the tall older styles have been tried and tested over the years but they still look awkward to me.

Nice job.

>Woa! That chest will be around for a while. Rugged. Very nice. Can we see what's inside?

You don't drive a '70s era Saab do you? I recognize the color...

Greg -who never had one that color, but owned at least a dozen (but down to his last one at the present time, and it's on the blocks on the tennis court right now...)

>Jamie,

VERY NICE!

Did you use milk paint for the green? And as others have asked, please show us a pic of the interior when you are done.
