Stanley 5 3/4 ??? *LINK*

Ted Shuck, Centennial, CO

>A recent ebay auction offered a "Stanley 5 3/4" plane. The pictures show it marked "05 3/4" on the toe and it has a Stanley pat 92 blade. The "05" suggests a Record plane. Looks to be the size of a 5 1/2.

Anybody recognize this one?

Thanks,

Ted

>It's not uncommon on the 'bay for another brand to have a Stanley iron in it. I'm not positive, but I think Union, in their pre-gobbled-up-by-Stanley days used some "O" numbers and odd fractions.
