Web site input *LINK*

>Warning: Commercial site and content

My sister-in law has been working on my web site and has totally revised it. I was hoping that some of you could take a look at it and give me some thoughts from a new-visitor point of view. No, you do not have to buy anything! Nor will you get a freebie marking knife for your comments :) Feel free to email me off-line also.

Just to keep those of you who have known me for the last couple of years informed, I am getting close to my one-year anniversary of making tools full time. It has been a great experience. Very challenging and harder than I thought! I have so many new product ideas but cannot seem to balance the time required to make tools, respond to customers, fill orders, do the book-keeping, marketing, equipment maintenance, shop clean up, etc, etc. AND design and develop my ideas. Thanks to the many of you who have been my customers for helping me make it through my first year, well, almost. Party January 7th.

>Hi Dave,

I like your tools and your website is very nice.

If I could make one improvement it would be to supply the option to click on an image and get a close up view of the tool

That is the only possible feedback I can offer you

Cheers

I use a real slow dial-up connection and I'm used to waiting.Your site loaded immediately and I was able to maneuver easily around it from link to link.I think people will find it easy to shop there.---Jack

>Nice site. Agree on the nice speed, which would not be reduced by the thumbnail -> highres suggestion.

One small glitch in navigation. When you click on "what's new" under woodworking tools, the navigation links aren't retained.

But that's minor. Overall - great job.

>On the The Tool Store page, when I click on the links "knives", "Awls", "Chisels" I'm expecting to be taken to the appropriate place in the list of tools. This doesn't happen

Otherwise looks a nice site

Just found the linking on the tool store to not take me to where I wanted to be.

>Click on items in the list and I don't go to that item and also be able to click on the small picture and get more detailed and larger pictures of the items themselves.

Overall, the site looks professional and is fast and easy to navigate, nicely done.

Agree with above, plus...

>Firefox at least is resolving the fonts in the tool list oddly, so that e.g., the fonts listing the different awls are different sizes, etc. I haven't checked on ME, but it may be something to look at. On a similar topic, I found the font size overall to be a bit on the small size; might be worth checking if that is a ME/Firefox issue or just a preference thing.

But overall, a nice site and nice work!

>Lori,

Love the speed and the beautiful tools shown. Also agree with other things mentioned already. This is a tiny item. Making the "clickable" or "active" areas larger than just the words (e.g. GO, or About Us) to include the entire graphic area around them. It seems more intuitive that way.
