>Very nice work! Mind if I ask how you fit the flush mount pulls into the drawer fronts? I'm finishing up a bench with built-in drawers and need to do the same. Tailed router with a template set up is all I can think of. Thanks, Tony
Very gloatable...nice.

-The pulls are normal, flush mount ring pulls. I think it's a standard casting, or comes from one main supplier... rockler has em, woodcraft and Lee Valley have em... all I did was take a hacksaw to the back side of them, so the black would come through.
-The pulls I found are a very odd size... 1 15/16". That's the flange diameter. As it turns out, there's a forstner bit that woodcraft carries that happens to be that size, and I think is intended for fitting a clock movement or something like that. After using that to make the 1/16 or 3/32 for hte flange to flush up, I used a smaller forstner bit to give clearance for the back of the pull, and use a chisel to make room for the part of the ring that doesn't fit inside the smaller circle. Lastly, I used a bit from rockler, intended to make holes for marbles, for games like chinese checkers. It made a nice round depression where the spur from the forstner bit went.
The square pulls I used a chisel and small router plane (stanley 271) for the rectangular part, and a forstner bit as described above for the rest.

>Very nice! I love the 'London' drawer dovetails - I assume you had those all dry-fitted, then dyed/stained the drawer fronts?
And after you sawed off the brass cup that was in the pulls' centers -- what did you use to smooth those cuts for fingers' sake?
Finally, what's the front panel look like?
Thanks for sharing ...

>Very nice James. Did you paint on those middle pins of your dovetails?
Just kidding... They look very good IMHO.
What did you use on the maple door fronts to get them so dark?
Again very nice.

>Nice Craftsmanship James!!!
I have the intent of making something like that as well in the near future. Actually want to make mine portable so I can take with me when working away from home
Cheers
Dan Clermont ('sides, my cabinet is also full and if I intend on getting more tools I am going to have to make another tool chest)
Very nice work - great job!
