Re: Spam Filters

Tell ya what I'm gonna do... I'm going to forget about what I was planning to stuff in someone's Christmas stocking. After all, I could have sold it tonight for twice the $20, probably I could have sold at least three of them at that price. Instead, I'm gonna' go out to Costco and buy about $20 worth of canned Spam (animal, vegatable and mineral Spam, but not data Spam) and send that to some poor Centralian who doesn't deserve it. After all, I've been putting a can of it all the way at the bottom of my son's stocking every so often over the last twenty years or so.
There is a long tradition linking Spam with the holiday season. Rumor has it that Rudolph was not a reindeer--He was really a spamalope. Further, has anyone seen the recipe for the "Roast Beast" in the traditional Who's in Whoville's Christmas dinner? I wouldn't be surprised if it included Spam as well. With all these Spam filters, we may all starve this holiday season.
Back to reality: Ernie, you might want to reconsider the practicality of e-mail management of this event. Heck, we've got a Forum on WC called "Events". Maybe you could somehow figure out how to use that as a communications backup, at least for acknowledgment of receipt of communications? The main issue would be the preservation of anonymity, just to keep it fun.
