I so dang tired of all these new computer words coming up. while where at it what is this new gadget that's called a Raspberry, or is it Blackberry?
Amazes me to no end the amount of electronic gizmos that folks feel that must have these days in order to live. Heck, I can't even keep up with the terms, much less the technology.

>Gil,
The Midwest Tool Collectors Assoc. is having their fall tool meet in St. Charles at Fox Run. The official activities include tailgating(flea market in the parking lot) on Thursday, Oct. 20th, dealer sales on Friday the 21st and Saturday the 22nd, displays of tools and several presentations during the meet. I think they are expecting about 200 people selling tools at the dealer sale.
There a tool auction scheduled for Thursday night at a hotel across the street from Fox Run on Thursday night although it is not an official part of the program.
You may want to check the M-WTCA website for more information.

>I agree with you Todd, it's hard to keep up, and I grew up with computers in school(high school anyway). But you know what I find Ironic is that all of us handtool enthusiasts/anti-electron killers, are "with it" enough technology-wise to find this place on a COMPUTER. Kinda anachronistic aint it.

Yes John, I suppose it is. Back in '98 when we first set up a computer(this very one as a matter of fact) I had to have my 12 year old(at the time) daughter show me out to -turn it on, and everything from there. I learned how to e-mail, and than do searches for different things. I found a nice blacksmith site, which I hung out for quite some time, and it was on that site that there was some talk(bashing actually) about a chap named Wayne Miller and how he ran his WW site called Badger Pond. I went to see what the hub-bub was all about and ended up leaving the Blacksmithing site. Beyond that I haven't learned how to do much on this thing. I'm sure that my knowledge wouldn't make a scratch in the scratch on the surface of what can be done on this thing. I seem to be a real slow-head in picking up all the things that can be done on this thing, but I enjoy knowing what I know well enough to not mind not knowing what I don't know.

>Bruce,
seems to me that the OldTools list was one of, if not the original WW forum, so what you're saying in effect is that WW sites as we know them was founded by a bunch of computer geeks?!
