Chris, Adam got cheated -Long

>Picked up a copy of the Oct. '05 issue of Popular woodworking yesterday and read Adams article concerning saws and sawing. Not to be derogatory, but I found it just a wee bit lacking in a few areas. I think that: 1) there should of been a diagram concerning the cross-cutting techniques he was describing, 2: where he was discussing sharpening there was no mention of Fleam, but it was mentioned in the little picture on the bottom of page 45, but no expanation of what it is, 3: there should of been some pictures of Negative rake teeth since they where mentioned. In general, I found the artice to be a little choppy. By this I mean, on page 42, and part of 43 he is talking about ripping, than he goes into cross-cutting, than on page 44 back to ripping.
-I feel that if a complete novice to handsaws read this article s/he be asking more questions, which I think should of been, and could of been easily answered within the article.
Today I read Frank's article on Dovetails and I found it to be complete, and feel that a complete novice could of read the article and used it to chop out some fairly decent dovetails. The only fault I had was on page 50, in picture 12, he mentions undercutting alittle while chopping out the waste, but nowhere does he explain why. Other than that is was a great article.
After reading the D/T article I wondered why Franks was so good, and Adam's left me wanting, and than I realized that Frank got 6 PAGES and Adam only got 4! What's up with that? I have no fuss with Frank getting 6 pages as it showed the process quite clearly, I find fault with Adam being shorted the 2 full pages that he needed for at least some add'l diagrams.
Am I the only one who feels this way?
Chris, this will be resolved right? I think it's only fair that each of craftsman got the same # of pages don't you?
Now, I know that Don Weber only got 4 pages as well, but since it is sort of an off-topic article in a WW mag, I can accept it. I did througly enjoy the article tho, and hope to see more of them from him pertaining to toolmaking.
Chris, this is in no way meant to be disparaging, just as constructive critisism if you will.
