Now that's art

Eric Hedberg

>I have no way to justify its acquisition but I am dutifully (and excitedly) adding it to my wish list. That's one fine piece of work, kudos to the Veritas team. I assume there is a laser engraved scale (ruler) under the base and what no precision adjust on the fence? Oh that's what the hammer is for:-) Eric (Who's just being petty and jealous)

Oh yeah I forgot to ask

Eric Hedberg

>how do you fit the blade in the MK II? Eric (Now suspecting he will be told where it will fit on (in?) him)

Rob Lee

>Hi Eric -

No joy on the 1/4" blade - it's forged. That means only hand sharpening for the most part...

The two 1/2" blades bolt onto the shaft. To sharpen, you remove the blade from the shaft, and re-attach them to an aluminum bar supplied with the plane for honing/grinding... fit's in all kinds of jigs...

Humble pie for lunch

Eric Hedberg

>So what didn't you guys think of...... Eric (Worried that Lee Valley probably sells something to cut the pie with. Seconds anyone?)

Ducking and running

I think it's a bit strange that the function of something like a "jointer" is the same whether in hand tool or power tool incarnation, but how different a "router" is from a "routah".

Joe Rogers, Northern Virginia

>IIRC the latest catalogue had a power cord and router bits in it.

May have had some sort of collet too.

Now we both can duck and run together.:-)

Lisa says she has to have one

Gary Camp, Bend, Or.

>Rob, I don't think you saw Lisa's face when she picked up the third version of the router plane at MontanaFest. She just saw the picture and reminded me that she NEEDS one and that it will be so much fun. Between your tool presentation and Dave Smith's tutoring at the mini lathe. She is hooked, lucky me. Thanks
