60 to 65 degrees effective pitch may do it

>I Agree with bugbear, no need for major changes just raise the honing angle gradually till the problem areas behave.
The shavings must also be kept very thin, around 1 thou".
The width of this new bevel need not be more than 1/32" or even less, so no major regrind called for.
