>Whats wrong with it? In my experance is a pretty rare thing to find a Yankee that doesn't work even if in rough condition. Most times all it takes is some oil and working it back and forth.Unless something rare if it is busted probably not worth the trouble to do much to fix it as good ones are so common and cheap.....Todd

>Yes, there is (are) repair parts for at least 12 types of Yankees at this link http://stores.stanleytools.com/Yankee%20Ratcheting/. Parts, if in stock, ship immediately and you get them < than a week (in Calif) by US Mail. You will find out that the postage is frequently more costly than the parts

>Todd c. is correct not all yankees had the spring. The spring yankees were the ones with the 1 prefix such as the 130 ,135 and 131. Regular 30,31, 35s didn't Some people took the springs out as they might not have liked them though this is not to common, guess they just bought the springless ones to begin with.In my experance the larger screw drivers are the ones most common to find that have springs. Never took the trouble to fool with one but believe they just go in the back of the handle after you remove the screw there.....

I was once set up at a show and this woman picked up this big yankee, looked right down the shaft and twisted the knurled ring....SPLAT! jumped out just like a Rattler and hit her right between the eyes! Should have seen her jump.Left her looking like she should be working down at the 7/11 ....Todd

>OK Can anyone out there tell me if a "GreenLee No.448" had a spring?

Hope I didn't tear this puppy down for nothing.
