>Blind Nailer.

What it does is lift a little chip so that you can drive a little nail in and than glue the little chip down over the nail head, thus making it invisible. Very desireable little tool. YOU SUCK!!!

I thought you was on vacation.

I got every thing I went after cheap except a set of Freud carving chisels probablt 32 in all I had them as $22.50 and on the third going some asidiot jumped in I ran hem up for that to a point I was scared I would end up with them he paid $150 for them I yelled sucker at the end and got the croud laughing. I'm having fun found a scorpion in the shower this morning.

I hope he didn't use all the hot water up on you! ;~)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh revenge bidding, risky, risky, business indeed. Think I'd of left out the Sucker call tho as that seems like a good way to get your vacation spolied, as Fistfighting at the auction house is highly frowned upon.

I see that one of your Steins did pretty well.

William Duffield, on the Cohansey

>It's a knockoff of a Stanley #96. Had it been a Stanley, it would be worth between $75 and $150. And, if you had the Stanley, you would have needed to supply your own 1/4" chisel. Curiously, the Stanley's bevel angle is a lot lower than the one shown in your photo. AMT (Royersford, PA) probably imported it from Taiwan in the mid to late 1990s. Several other woodworking retailers also import and sell them, with the klutzy chisel. I always asked myself, "what does this tool do that a 1/4" chisel won't do?" and "Why not nail it down before you veneer it?"

Sorry you didn't win the carving tools. At least, you didn't come home with one of them emplanted in your backside :^) I don't think I ever paid as little as $5.00 for a carving tool, but I guess their value depends on whether you intend to do some carving yourself or just turn around and resell them. I don't have any experience with Freuds, so I don't know whether that was still a reasonable price or not.

Carving chisel prices

Pam Niedermayer - Austin, TX

>Three or four years ago, when bargains were to be had on ebay, I won two huge lots of chisels, probably a total of 40 chisels - turning, carving, pattern making, bench, etc. The average per chisel price was $3. Sure was fun figuring how to use half of them, had never seen a turning chisel before, e.g.

>I guess I better get ready for a big you suck here is a set of seven hand forged ones that I bought a couple weeks ago for $5.00 at auction started them on eBay at 19.99 and they didn't sell so I will keep them. I was using them last night out on the dock they seem to hold an edge. cought a couple more cat fish lebo to wrist length I play with them for a while looking for a long release but so far no such luck. the mail channel is pretty rough but will head up aways looking for a secluted cove for the wife to sun bathe. I like the shade of the canopy.

Ebay chisels

Todd Hughes

>I think for other then large heavy duty chisels the prices on ebay for chisels have taken a nosedive. In my experance sure aint like it was a few years ago.I think it is probably just an up and down thing and right now they are in a down swing.I believe probably caused by sellers flooding the market when the prices were high.I just picked up a beautiful long everlast this weekend [$10 talked down from $15] and I think I will hold on to it for a while hoping the prices raise back up, am sure they will. I did sell 6 Stanley 160s with 4 of them near mint on it last week and got over $300....makes me wonder what I would have gotten for them befor though.....Todd
