Is anyone not all that impressed with their LVPSS?

It works as advertised...except for the last sentence on LV's description "It is suitable for all hand tools used in the woodworking shop."
I think my definition of suitable is different than LV's in this instance......
It works well for srub and jack irons but I'm not a big fan of cambered jointer/try irons....and the amount of camber I need/want on a smoother is obtained by just taking a couple passes on my Shapton 12K hippon with a bit of extra pressure towards the edges of the iron...so you guessed it. My biggest gripe is that no matter how much futzing I do, I canna get a nice straight cutter on my plane irons nor can I get a smoother iron with just a touch - a mil or two - of camber. And darn if the thing spins too fast.....heck, I can polish/hone my scrub and jack irons on a grinder......
Fishing for suggestions before I pack it up and send it back.... :- (. I've tried a light touch and moving the iron so it is sharpened both trailing and not and I've tried free-hand but free-hand can only be done very near the center of the disc which then exacerbates the camber issue......and LV customer service says no good way to slow the thing down....and the Lap Sharp is looking all that much more better at only ~$150 more than the LVPSS....
