Spoon Challenge

Pam Niedermayer - Austin, TX

>Thanks to Ernie for reminding me, but a winner needs to be chosen. So I've numbered the participants from 1 to 15 in no discernable order and will ask Sir Wm to choose two numbers tonight (in case the winner can't be located the backup will win). Then tomorrow I'll post photos of the chisels so the winner can choose one.

Sorry for the delay, but taxes took all the money I'd set aside for buying a new digital camera (old one broke), and then some. I wasn't able to get a new one until last week.

Honest, that's what it came up with, on my first and only query.

I was going to plant my tongue firmly in my cheek and report that I asked Deep Thought, but it would only come up with one number. This is just a little bizarre! Not infinitely improbable, by a long shot, but still, I didn't bend any spoons by telekinesis in the process of choosing the numbers.

Congratulations to the lucky winners!

If anybody wants a consolation prize, I will be glad to offer three incomplete alpha test Loxahatchee Toolworks spoons, that you can finish, or mount on the wall, or toss to your benchdog. If you are on Pam's list, and not Participant #2 or #4, and send me e-mail at wrduffield@verizon.net with a mailing address, I'll send you one of them.

>Remember what von Neuman said about computers and random numbers? Nevertheless, I'll use your numbers.

The winner is:

02 Paul Dzioba (Paul in NJ)

and the runner up, in case Paul Dzioba doesn't respond, is 04 Jack Guzman.

Congratulations, guys, I'll get the chisel choices up tomorrow.

Please note, I'll need shipping info.
