Sweatin to the 45

>As a Colorado boy moved to Tenn. the heat and humidity are somthing else. I recently got contract for a corner cabinet. She wants it to look like it was built in originally. The doors beside it have 3-1/2 beaded casings. She wanted them on the cabinet. So it was either spring for a knife for the moulder or time to learn the 45. Since it was an off day I decided to try the 45. I set it up sharpened the knife and flattened it. Started at the front and worked my way back. It worked pretty well. A little effort and a lot of Tn sweat. So I thought about waxing the thing to cut down on the effort. I waxed everything. The fence, skates, board and edge. It was like somebody plugged it in. Less than a minute on a 3' board and I had my first bead. the whole thing took about 20 minutes with adjustments. I had heard about the horror of the 45 but I must say I was real happy. I could almost imagined myself in an 1800 shop. I think the wax is the key to this thing. And I didn't mind the heat near as much. We have become good friends.
