however, i'm setting up to use the greenwood logs from the local trees. lots of experimentation to see what bends well.

I don't know anything about these, what did you mean when you said you "configured the round forms based on the circumference of an oval-set" - that your round #0 is the same diameter that an oval #0 is, on its long axis?

the traditional shaker oval boxes have sort of standard sizes categoried by a number (#000-#20).
my round boxes have the same circumference and width as the traditional oval boxes, only round.
They look very nice
