I bought a new old plane

>I don't find them often in Nebraska, but I picked up a old wood/metal combo plane. It is very odd. The lever cap is a screw, but the adjustment is a lever that moves up/down to move the blade up/down. The iron has "Butcher" which I know makes blades, but what type is it? I can't find it in any books? I did not put a photo of it, but if someone wants a photo, then I can put it on.

It is in great shape with 90% of its paint, the handle had to be glued back (most old planes do) thank you for your input. Chad Boehlke, On the Platte River in Nebraska

>I know that at least some of the Stanley transitionals had a lever to adjust the blade up and down. You might want to check Blood and Gore to see if you can see a picture of it.
