kiss assembly table

Matt in Boone Iowa

>Instead of using good poplar or hickory I used up scrap birch ply to make an assembly table tonight. I borrowed a design I used for a "Thomas the Tank Engine" play table. Just made it bigger. It's 41" x 65". Hardoard over MDF. I'll do the edge banding tomorrow and it'll be ready to use. The top comes off so I can break it down to store it.

My assembly table is constructed similarly. However, for lack of space in my double-garage/workshop, I have built it so that it can be folded flat against a wall (and my tablesaw rolled up in front of it).

I apologise for the poor picture. It was cropped from something else and all I had to hand to illustrate the idea.

This is an extremely solid construction and worth its weight in gold (or Bedrocks, if you prefer).

Regards from Perth

BTW, really like the table too, good idea.
