>good job. you have more patence then I have. when I screwed up a plane I would chuck it rather then fix it. no wonder I had 40 scrap planes when I started (G) I hate fixing mine or someone elses screwups.

>Nope that's my attempt at a striking knife. It's made from an old file. I put the wooden scales on it so that I could pick it up off the bench easier.

When you are looking closer at old wooden planes, dont't over look what you may have considered junk or damaged wood. The sole of some transitionals was beech. If the price is right that is a good source for wedges and patch wood.
