For Texas Galoots

>Went to Canton today for the First Monday flea. While old tools is not this place's reason for being, I did get to drool over a few things. There was a fellow outside over near the log building office for exhibitors who had a complete set of Stanley's from 3 to 8, both smooth and corrugated, that were in what seemed to me to be very good condition (for users). Damn! Those #8's are BIG!!

Funny thing was he wouldn't sell me one; said he wanted to sell the whole set!

At another place (again outside near the covered wooden booths the go up the hill) there was this huge jack vise that was in working condition.

Lot's of rusty files for those wanting to make pigstickers too.

Well, unless you like a day trip in north East Texas I wouldn't advise a trip just for bench planes. Pickin's are far too slim. In fact I only posted 'cause it was the first time I had seen so many planes there that I thought were worth mention.

The bluebonnets are beginning to show color in lots a places though.
