Drawknife from S. Djrv Hantverk

Pam Niedermayer - Austin, TX

>It gets better, the small drawknife from handverk is even less than the 340 skr on their site, it's only 272 skr ($38.50) because there are no taxes charged. Shipping is still extra, don't know how much, still working on the total and how to pay them.

>Pam... you will be delighted.

I have several tools from SD... and they are all excellent, especially the spoon knives.

>Say, Conger, what exactly are those spoon knives? I was looking at them, but can't tell enough from the tiny photos. And the descriptions in Swedish are no help to me.

>Probably not. Money changers still charge fees that make you want to turn over tables in the temple.

>The best way to send small ammounts of money is cash in a registered letter.

My experience shows that this works every time... except to the USA. They seem to have some clever machines that can spot this (maybe something to do with the rare earths used in EURO notes?). They mostly slice open the letters carefully and remove the cash. I guess that is what being scared of anthrax attacks does! Also a nice side income for the postal officials.

>Pam... these are like chip carving knives... just a little bigger and more robust. The blades are curved (for righties and for southpaws). The pic shows similar ones from Hans Karlsson. They are sweet to use... razor sharp and easy to keep sharp. Many happy days spent in the Alps whittling spoons.... and some are good!

I've sent several times $'s to my sister in the US and everytime they are happy (the family of course) .

Don't the Swedes accept $? They are not in Euroland.

If your bank charges a $15 flat fee for changing dollars to kroner, that's not so effective. The best deal around is credit/debit cards; but SDH doesn't take them.

>$15 ; that's really free enterprice. I saw the price at Dick.biz is about $77 ex.etc.for the drawknife.
