Striking knife

>Here's my first feeble attempt at making a striking knife. Can you tell what I used to make the tool? ;^) The scales are made of some scrap Teak I had laying around. Actually, I drilled a hole through the block, epoxied the knife into the wood, then shaped after it set up.

>Thanks Scott,

I used my dremel tool to cut the angle. Then I used my grinder to grind the bevel being careful not to overheat it. The awl part of it was a little harder not to overheat. It was a fun project. I have all kinds of old spade bits laying around and plenty of scrap teak. I do need a better grinder, though.

>Thanks Pam,

I used an old 5/8" spade bit. The hole bothered me so I cut the knife blade above the hole. Now all I have to worry about is when I sharpen it down to the engraved numbers.
