Prine Collection of Woodworking Planes *LINK*

>I discovered a link to this Pittsburgh museum while looking for something else, of course. There are more than 200 planes made during the 1800's. Apparently they are the ones studied by Charles Prine while writing Planemakers of Western Pennsylvania. Has anyone seen this exhibit? Is it worth a stop?

>Definitely worth looking at. Parking is easy and the rest of the museum is pretty good. The Prine collection is up on the 3rd floor. I've gone a couple of times when family came in to visit.

>Thanks, Mike. I get down from the hills a couple of hours north of Pittsburgh on occasion and am always looking for new things to see. I don't know how I missed this one.

I heven't seen it, yet,...

>but my wife has. She says I'd love it.

Sometime when you're planning a visit, please let me know, too. Maybe we can get a few folks together. Next two Saturdays are tied up with other woodworking events.

This Saturday is Western PA Woodworkers Assoc., which I'll have to miss. The following Saturday is the turning club, Turners Anonymous, which I'll be attending.

Best, Ted
