Basic Info
- Bench Top:
- Length: 8' 3"
- Width: 24"
- Thickness: 4 1/4"
- Twin Screw:
- Screws buried in benchtop
- Distance between screw centers:
24" - Crochet:
- Sized to allow edge jointing up to 12/4 stock
- Planing Stop:
- 3/4" dowel on front left corner. I sometimes drop a square of wood over it to avoid denting thin soft wood. The dowel alone works well.
- For wider panels, a second dowel is used to avoid twisting.
- Board Jack:
- Slides in grooves cut in bottom stretcher and underside of bench top.

"Action Shots"
- Face jointing
- Edge jointing
- Without removing vise I can edge joint a board 5' 6", opening the vise gains me about 3 more inches, taking off the vise extends that to over 7 feet.
- Board jack and holes in legs set up to allow me to edge joint pieces up to 18" - 20" wide, i.e. typical carcass depths.
- Fenced plane
- Fence overhangs edge bench,
crochet set below the top to allow fenced planes to ride over the crochet. - Mortise
- Tenon
- Cross Cutting
- Dovetails
- Holes in leg under vise allow me to rest larger panels on
the a peg so the panel doesn't drop through the vise. Also means I don't have to crank the vise down so tight as the vise only has to resist left-right motion not the down force.
