Re: A few questions

I'd like to see a picture of the crochet and planing stop from the top looking straight down and a detail view of the planing stop. Is it height adjustable?
Ok, I added that to the list of photos. As for the planing stop, it is height adjustable -- It is just a 3/4" dowel in a hole.
We talked about the position of the crochet with respect to the leg holdfast holes. How did that work out and can you show us a picture of that?
Added to photo list as well.
The crochet "wedge point" ended up to the left of the centerline of the leg. (I'm at a loss for a better term than 'wedge point', the point which the board wedges itself against the crochet)
This positioning produced the first lesson the bench taught me -- "You must pressure the tail of your plane when you are edge planing." If you don't the board tips forward. Of course I know that, but if I get sloppy the bench reminds me. If I used a holdfast to clamp the board to the leg I would lose that feedback. I just rest the board on the pegs (or a scrap board on the pegs if the board is skinny).
So I think it is the correct placement. I had to default to using what I could see in Moxon and the Roubo photos.
I've only completed one project on the bench, so in many ways a lot of the answers we are looking for are still awaiting discovery. I will share as I learn.
