Took me one year to want to build a wall cabinet.

>It has been around one year since I was introduced to the hanging wall cabinet out in California, and I have finally chosen to build one. I really never wanted to build one but I had some scrap and it worked out to be enough for a pretty large cabinet so I built it. The two woods are honey locust and hard maple.
Took me about two months to do, working on it after I had worked on all my other school stuff. It was a good toy for a while. Finished it up tonight so I could take it home to show my dad.
Put the carcass together with big mortise and tenons, ship lap back, frame and panel door (with a floater door, the panel looks like it floats in mid air from the front), dovetailed drawers. Made some nickel silver knife hinges, bit of wax and shellac and presto.
I would really encourage people to make one these cabinets and maybe participate in the hanging wall cabinet competition. This is an excellent, easy, and quick way to tune up your skills or learn some valuable new ones.

tis a shame my dovetails got so chuncky, wasn't paying any attention. they are hand cut despite the look.
