>early spring rust hunting has arrived! Found these in some of my favorite haunts:

all indications point to a real nice summer..no robins yet but some nice rust colored objects.

Nice pedal-by gloat, too, with the bright green Big Wheel - your son/daughter's?

>Went yesterday to my Deleware flea market, first time since probably Nov. Got there a little late but don't know if it made that much difference.Bought OK not to much in the ways of tools but did get some good Knives and US Bayonets.Bought a real nice older Disston back saw for $2....and missed a 4 square block plane. Took my girl Joanne and she did OK. Really got me looking forward to spring and[as I do every year!] I promised myself to get out more and earlier to look for stuff....but this year I am!....Todd

>Bill, pedal-by is my grandsons almost warm enough for him to be outdoors with me when he comes over...I'm way to old to have little ones...and he's quite a handfull to keep track of in my shop :-)

the bottom right: a handfull of new blades(about 16 or so..22/32 by 3 22/32 by 1/8) beveled too low but take a nice edge if you re-grind the bevel, I figure maybe finger planes or chisel planes. Next to them is the smallest marking gage I've ever found..by American Spring Needle Works New Britain CT -three arm marking gage, two parallel and one perpendicular..metal body is only 1 1/4" by 3/4"...sweet! got a whole listing of the stuff on the linked page.

Rob, no trunk yet..but all winter there's at least three that stay open..Wallingford, near the Oakdale theater, Woodbury and Durham (monday only and you got to get up with the chickens 'cause it's at the animal transfer station/stockyard.) Brutal when it's zero out..fingers get numb clutching cold iron..when they start to burn you know you've had enough. I hear the trunk got sold over the winter..the old owner didn't need the money..he owns multiple properties all across NE. Don't know what that means for the fleas this summer..don't know if he sold the property to developers or another flea guy. You've seen the development in the area..every year it gets more "yuppiefied", almost expect to see a starbucks soon.
