>2001, Dean, but that's OK - since we're not in space yet, it's understandable to get confused. Though I note we do have lots of things that were considered radical science fiction back when the movie was done, like talking computers, tiny little communicators, etc.
It'll be a while before Hal shows up on our PCs though.
shavings!!!

Re: bom Bom BOM!!!! - Hal's here

Now, where did I misplace that femur?
Re: Actually
Dean Lapinel
>Heh heh....actually that is irrelevant. The point of humor was the granite piece with reference to the movie. lighten up...it was funny.
Well, yeah, it was funny
Bill Houghton, Sebastopol, CA
>though I had a picture of using a deer antler to flake obsidian, and wondering how intense the arguments got over the low angle Org stone axe vs. the Yrrrk pitch axe.

Of Course It Was!

>Just thought you'd like to know the name of the music that the movie co-opted.
Always did like that flick! Course I was programming computers at the time and thought it would be great to program one to act like HAL.

Almost as impressive
Bill Houghton, Sebastopol, CA
>as that extra-thick (1", wasn't it?) iron you announced for one of your low-angle planes some time in the last couple of Aprils. When is that going into production, by the way?
