Actually *FINISHED* something... *PICS*

>Haven't had a lot of shop time of late; this weekend, though, I actually got a few things done that I've been meaning to get to for some time:
I dug out an old CarbaTec pen lathe the pop-in-law gave me a couple years ago, figured out how this Rube Goldberg-esque thing's s'posed to work, and made some new handles for a Millers Falls #1 that was donated to my ever-quickening descent into the handtool abyss (gracĩas, SB):
One handle was broken, the other was checked and chipped. I actually prefer the cherry to the rosewood.
Heady with some limited turning success, I went about trying to fashion a replacement for the plastic knob thingy that came with my late model Record #4:
The replacement isn't quite as wide as the original, due to stock limitations (cough cough), and is more of a balloon shape than something round. But it works, and it's much nicer to use and look at than was the plastic. And it highlights to me that I suck at beads, and need further practice.
Anyway, I actually got something done. Three more knobs, and four totes to go...
Thanks for looking,
Scott
