>Kind of hard with out a photo or at least a description...but I'm using my ESP and I see a wooden handle with a metal shaft about 8 in. long and on the end is a sharpened curved leaf like section , I'm guessing...Bearing Scrapers!....Todd

>Todd, I think you win the prize - a description or pic would have been helpful! Sorry, I left that out, but what you describe is exactly it - long curved peices of steel w/handles. But, what are bearing scrapers? :o) Is this woodworking, or metal?
Thanks,
David

>Old time mechanical tools. Used for scraping babbitt bearings to fit the shaft they turn on. Not many poured bearings in use any more. After the bearing material was poured into the journal the material was scraped to fit. Then shims were added or removed at the split line to clearance the fit.JR
