Japanese woodworking

>I find I'm being somewhat seduced by the east side!

I've found the HMS Enterprises web site on Japanese woodwork but it is really quiet at the moment, does anyone know of any other good sources of information on Japanese woodwork?

BTW I've also just received the Odate "Tools" book from Amazon.

Thanks Andrew

>The Hida people and site are pretty good. They used to have a very active forum; but their expert web guy went back to Japan to apprentice to a builder, don't think the site has changed at all in a couple of years except for the kezurou kai notices.

>Hi Andrew,

Another good place to purchase Japanese tools is Misugi Designs. The owner Kayoko is a very pleasant person who is also knowledgable.

There is also some interesting information at this site:

and here is another one of general interest:

>Yes, Kayoko is great. Also, there's Aquastone, Kyoko has taken over the site since her husband, Mori, died early last year.
