I got the pick of the litter Fiddleback Maple CTW marking knife. Sweeet. (real chilly too) Thanks for posting the pic so soon Roger. Ten guys and five conversations at once. Very confused but capable servers at Bob Evans:-) I'm sure more pictures will follow from other attendees.JR

This hammer should even be effective, come July, in the control of Greenheads.
Speaking of wooden planes, here is another photo of members in good standing of Wooden Plane Bashers Anon, Jim Crammond from Monroe MI, and Dave Shoultz from Arlington VA, photographed at yesterday's breakfast.
My efforts at selling, or even giving away, lengths of fully annealed precision ground O1 drill rod and bar stock from the trunk of the Moose Slayer were totally unsuccessful. I guess the other eight galoots in attendance realized that it made a whole heck of a lot more sense to buy finished and perfected tools from Dave than to try to make their own. I couldn't even get any interest in the demonstration of my handmade hacksaw.
BTW, In the background of Roger's photo is part of the southern extension of the Mixing Bowl, one of the most notorious intersections in the USofA.

It wasn't one of the older "quality" ones - more like the newer Buck Brothers version I bought new about 20 years ago before I knew any better. It was my first "plane". After I fettled it ot its maximum, I turned it into a scrub plane then gave it to an unsuspecting friend who obviously hasn't tried to use it yet. I'm sure he hasn't tried to use it because I haven't heard any cussing from his direction. :)
