A long retort...

>Ive been at the CES show in Las Vegas and got home with the flu. I just got down to your post today. I feel the need to retort
Lyn if you dont like the word gang fine by me. I didnt mean to offend you or anyone else. Next time Ill use camp, pack or group better?
I feel you dont need to use obscure adjectives and double point Scrabble words to make your point. I dont have a PHD so Ill comment on what I gleaned (understood) from your post.
All I meant to say was the group of people that prefer bevel up planes will probably feel different.
If you feel the need to lump yourself into that group fine, its your prerogative. You placed yourself there, not me. Thats some thing youll have to deal with.
Im not saying one design is better than the other. I havent experimented with them yet. I probably never will. Im happy with my planes and the way each is set up. Ive all ready commented on why I dont like the SAP approach, but Ill say it again.
For the record I dont like taking the time to swap out and set up the plane every time I come to a different planning need.
Ill leave the experimentation up to the more qualified (i.e. yourself) hell, who knows after your next round of tests is complete and Ive seen the results I might have 2 or 3 LA planes with different blade set in them and sell off my other ones. Naaaaa I love planes as much as you and that will never happen (selling them off that is).
I have great respect and admiration for what you have done and shared with us. I look foreword to your next findings.
At this point Id like to thank to say thank you to Jonathan Peck for interjecting his perspectives on the matter.
Lyn you said in your second post: My complaint is with using a dismissive pejorative phrase which is empty of fact or reasoned analysis.
Well then we should not use the words Neanderthal and Galoot? What about the members of the Yuppie bas*ard infill builder crowd? Should they also be banned like old widow lady?
In ending this I feel that this is really a back lash for my post to Pam that got deleted.
I could be wrong (as I often am) but, thats my gut feeling here.
Again, I apologize for using a work that hit a nerve in you. Perhaps when this happens again we can find a way to deal with it a little easier.
Please, lets not let this snowball into something negative or contentious (yes, I had to look that word up:-). If need be please email me. Thanks Scott
