Holster for a LV medium shoulder plane
Skip in Falls Church
>In the past there has been some interest in leather working among the woodworkers here so I thought I'd post a few pictures of the holster I made for my new LV Medium Shoulder plane.
It's pretty plain right now - but I'm thinking of adding a bit of design work to the flap - something in the celtic style I'm sure. :) I'm not nearly as experienced at leather working as I am at woodworking - but it is fun. (not to mention a whole other set of tools to coll......., er, use.)
I don't have a lot of space in my "shop"/utility room so it's nice to be able to hang things in odd places. I even added a belt loop on the back so that it would be available for a "quick draw". Actually I don't anticipate ever putting on my belt - but it was easy enough to add the loop, so I did.
