OK so it's no $10.00 No.1, but...

>For 30.00 I think I did good. Yea I SUCK!

It's amazing what you can come across at a yard sale.

Can anyone tell me about the "Green stone"? It's a japaneese stone, 120 grit is it a waterstone?

The 94 is beat. It will make a nice user, it has a billeted (right word? spelling for that matter?) blade and it has been dropped. Cracks in the top at the plam rest and hairline cracks at the mouth where the blade rests. It's a nicely balanced plane and wide too, I can see this bad boy becomming a fave.

The 65 is very nice, but a bit of a mouth, could be filed but who knows. A small dent in the lever cap, with a new thicker blade it will rock.

Oh Mr. Perry we need to talk...

Every one have a safe and sound All Hallow!

Scott, off to carve pumkins.

>The No. 65 is an EXCELLENT pumpkin carving plane, too - your timing was great. Of course, since pumpkin carving is technically green work, a drawknife is also commonly used...

Nice prices, and a rare steal, the 94.

So, how badly dented is the lever cap on the 65? Is it usable?

>Very small dimple to be more specific. Looks like it might have taken a hit to the top. All is well with it. It will be a great worker.

>That sharpening stone in the box would look great in my little collection of boxes; it looks like a really neat box. They're not making old boxes you know; it takes a long time for them to get old, and most of them get thrown out.

>I really like my 65, because the knuckle joint cap locks down so well (and sounds so cool when it does so) and because its larger size fits my hand, or hands when I use both of them, well.
