eBay descriptions *LINK*

David Miller from Iowa

>There was some discussion on how things are described on eBay in one of the recent threads. Here's the reverse problem - overstating.

Listed as complete when it is not, great condition when it is trashed AND busted.

I think eBay should charge another dollar to use the term "rare" in any description - they would see a dramatic rise in revenue.

Best plane he has ever had

Sad, too

>Of course, my heart would go out for the person who might bid ... but of course no one will. Right?

I even have a little compassion for the seller. The listing reveals so much about his/her character and yearnings and fantasies.

The listing actually makes me think of my dad when he was 89 and demented. Had Ebay been around then, and had he been Ebay-literate, my dad could as easily have been seller as buyer on this item.

On the other side of the coin

The seller was a woman who, by the description she gave, obviously had NO idea of what she was selling. I predict she will start buying every plane she sees for a while.
