OT-ebay question

Rob in Kansas

>There seems to be alot of people here that are very ebay savy. Is there an email address to report possible problems?

There is something listed for sale (not ww related) that I previously looked at and have no doubt the seller was fraudulently misrepresenting it. After showing interest in it the seller called three times in one day trying to get me to commit. When I specifically asked to see the maintenance logbooks on it he promised to send them to me and promptly re-listed it and never even replied to a message. There's more to it, but that's the meat of the story. I would like to give a very big caveat emptor. Should I?

>Generally, I'd say there's nothing to be done. eBay rules prohibit you from contacting any of his other bidders and warning them off, and eBay is unlikely to yank the listing based on your suspicions, no matter how well-founded.

If you want to try though, the address is below.

Good luck,

>Thanks Clay,

It looks like I'd have to re-register to even find an email address. I would think Ebay would want to do everything they can to limit possible fraud and make sure they don't get a bad reputation. After a few too many mistakes watching $$$ go poof their posibilty for commisions would go down. Especially 40-60K! But I wouldn't buy such a big ticket item sight unseen.

But what do I know...I'm one of those people who think others should be treated the way I would want to be treated....

>Rob, I have found ebay & paypal to be unhelpful in the extreme. There are a lot of good deals to be had but you really have to watch your step. "caviat emptor" and all that ;>)

>Agree with Frank... I dare you you get a real person on the phone from either eBay or Paypal.
