>Now that they have been available for more than a year or so, do any users of them have any thoughts to contribute about their experience with them?

>I have one and highly recommend them. I use it primarily for chopping dovetails. The balance of the hammer and the shape of the handle make using it almost effortless.

You hold the hammer loosely and it pivots very naturally in your palm. This is a "state of the art" hammer-- in a class by itself.

>I like mine too. Kevin (Glen Drake) is coming out with (already maybe?) a carver's hammer, looks like the same heads as chisel hammers, but with stubby little oval handles. Haven't tried one yet, but they sure look good! BTW, I also like my plane hammer from Glen-Drake. Putting a chipbreaker-screw-sized back end on those was genius, I use it all the time.

PS - Don, I hope to see you at the Nov. guild mtg, I'll be back from NorCal by then. Let me know if you'd like me to bring my GD chisel hammer. (If you're a righty, that is - remember these are 'handed.')
