Stanley #67 convex spokeshave

>I have had this spokeshave for over 2o years and finally getting around to tuning it. Now that I have an interest in learning how to care for and use vintage hand tools I'd appreciate any info regarding using the plane. It has detachable wooden handles so either the right or left one can be screwed into the back and I assume this is for working up close to obstacles. One has left hand thread and the other right. The body is marked L or R at each of the threaded holes. The blade has the "Sweetheart" logo and the body has plating that is mostly flaked off. It is complete and plenty of blade left so will last me for the duration.

>I remember trying out this tool years ago with the edge that was on the blade when I got it from a relative. It cut pretty good then and I'm sure it will be even better after I hone the blade and practice a bit.

The #67 is probably the best of the metal shaves..
