>We don't have a store in town.Actually ,that's not completely true. We have an empty general store but it hasn't been occupied for several years. Going to the market is an event. You gotta stock up on beer.---Jack

>Except for the Texaco station we only have one store here in Boothbay. The one store sits on the commons and is named "Centah of Attention",I always feel like I need to "stand to" and salute before going in.

For alittle better selection we need only go the next town over.The"Ha-ba"is nothing but stores it seems,it starts with Hanaford at the traffic lite and goes downhill from there. Most locals would rather shop afew towns away as it`s common knowledge that the main function of the "Ha-ba" is to separate folks"from away" from thier money, even the price of groceries goes up in the summer. It settles back some(but not much) after Labor Day.It`ll still be worth the ride to Wiscassett even after the snow starts.
