home made mortise chisels

I finally got some real handles on the CPM 3V mostise chisels. The handle shape was inspried by Klause video. I think a flat sided handle provides tactile indication of what way the chisel is pointed and I need all the help I can get keeping the chisel tracking straight.
The handle is made from two 1/2" thick pieces of wood. A groove 1/2 the thickness of chisel is cut into each handle half and the two halves epoxied together to capture the chisel "tang". Then the handle is shaped to fit hand, more or less. One handle is beech and the other walnut, because that is what I found in scrap barrel.
The background is the top of a spice cabinet which I will post later in week (finally got one done!)
