A project begins

>Here is a shot of my new project, the Ky cupboard from FWW clip book. This is the bottom. It gets a few shelves, a top, and two paneled doors. Top is about the same size, but set back about 5" and has glass doors. Looks like it will hold alot of stuff. I think I have enough maple to finish it up,

>Howdy Jim,

You amaze me with the quality and quantity of your projects. You're a dynamo! Thanks for giving us less motivated (okay, us lazy ;^>) folks something to aspire to.

Cheers,

Leg sweep

jim_reed@marietta

>The plans call for a double sweep. It looked pretty graceful, but I liked the solid looks of a single sweep. Looking from the front, you will see a graceful sweep outward. From the side it is straight down.

>Sounds reasonable. I was wondering 'cause I'm planning on adapting the double sweep to some bed legs on the next project. Did you bandsaw and scrape the legs, or is there a better way?

How

jim_reed@marietta

>I rough cut with bandsaw and then smoothed the curve with a wooden spokeshave. It worked great.
