How did you control the bevel angles?
Was the ruler used to set a back bevel on the plane blades?
Im always curios as to how others sharpen.... seems Im addicted to sharpening =)
I mostly use the veritas[insert disclaimer here] guide and microabrasives, but hollowground and "freehand" honed edges also lurks in my chest. The backbevel thing is also useful to "resque" pitted plane blades..
I see your point about spending time with guides and their setting. I think I spend more time wiping the roller between grits than I do setting the blades in the jig itself... but then again, you can work around that too...
Could you elaborate on the sharpening, as the questions I asked above?
