The current far eastern Eclipse type guides will accept large 112 scraper blades & no.8 plane blades.

P.S. Video 1, plane blade cambering and sharpening is out now from L-N or me.

Video 2 on precision component planing is out soon.

We have filmed number 3, shooting techniques, the large shoulder plane, Azimuth error etc. and number 4, methods for avoiding tearout. i.e. raising effective pitch, low angles and preparing and setting scraper planes. These will follow in due course.

Go english, then tools, then sharpening tools, then honing guides.

Look at the double jaw honing guide. It takes 82mm 3"+ wide plane blades. I bought it, it has a nice wide brass roller but it is a bit wiggly. The fit of the pins that line up the jaws could be better. Like the eclipse.

I ended up giving it to a friend, since I have the veritas guide.

Note that I actually never used it, just had it lying around...
