the chisels are made by Koyamaichi - a maker I don't know anything about.
I don't have more photos.
I don't have a practical opinon on the chisels yet. I have only used them for a few minutes. I like the idao of a short paring chisel. It I know goes agaisnt the logic of control and length but I find I almost never use long paring chisels for dovetailing. I just my regular dovetail chisels, which are hooped because they are handy and sometimes, especially when trimming dovetail sockets because you are trimming endgrain and a whack with a mallet really helps that go faster. Of course the bend in the chisel precludes using a lot of force when hammering which doesn't matter as these chisels are really for delicate paring work anyway.
THe bend is interesting. it gives clearance both when you MUST have clearance - such as when woring a sliding dovetail or a tenon-shoulder corvner, but it also changes the geometry when cleaning regular dovetails. You have more of a "scooping action" which I think will make the job easier.
THe sides are sharper - almost knife sharp from the maker but on Odate's personal set after the all the honings the sizes are sharp. You have the handle the chisels top and bottom or as he rocmmends but some tape on the blade where you grab it.
Incidently we just got in Odate's new version of his dovetaill saw. Replaceable blade, narrower depth of cut making it stiffer, and modified rip teeth which also can crosscut and track very very well with difficlut grain. They should be one the website soon - we just don't have any pictures yet.
